My Priorities as Chula Vista Councilmember

  • Public Safety First

My top priority is ensuring neighborhoods are safe for our families. I will hire more police officers and firefighters to improve response times and work directly with Chula Vista Police to stop home break-ins.

  • Responsible Growth & Middle Class Housing

City of Chula Vista needs more middle-income housing. I will work to grow our local economy and provide housing to support the burgeoning middle class in Chula Vista. I will do this by incentivizing developers to build more middle class housing. I will work with school districts to stop overcrowding in classrooms.

  • Services for Homeless Residents

My expertise in working with various governmental agencies will help bring Chula Vista much needed resources from County Health & Human Services to bring real solutions to our growing homelessness issue. I will prioritize shelters for children and women and will ensure homeless shelters are away from schools and homes.

  • Traffic & Road Safety

Red light runners have become an issue that we need to focus resources on solving. We need to feel safe on our roads and as Councilmember, I work with police to stop red light runners. I will minimize congestion and increase smart road development across our city’s neighborhoods.
